payment & cancellations
A $25 deposit is required to secure appointments. Full payment may be requested in advance for on-site bookings. We prefer one transaction of these payment methods: cash, check, Venmo, or debit/credit card. Session times reflect actual hands-on time. Appointments canceled within 24 hours or no calls/no shows are subject to a charge for the full deposit amount, except in cases of illness or emergencies. To reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible to ensure your deposit is transferred to your new appointment. We enforce our policies on a case-by-case basis, contact avery@flowstateboone.com if we’ve made an error.
Session times listed are reflective of actual hands-on time during your appointment, which is often not the case in traditional spas. Gratuity is never expected but is appreciated in recognition of an awesome experience.
While we cannot bill your health insurance directly, we are happy to assist with providing required documentation or a sales receipt. You can use your FLEX spending debit cards, or other similar Health Savings Account Cards provided by your workplace insurance on massage. (Note: you may be asked to provide a doctor's note prescribing massage therapy during an audit)
client code of conduct
Clients must agree to terms and conditions that state: I am over the age of 18 (or with a parent/guardian present) and understand that massage is for the basic purpose of stress relief, relaxation, and relief of muscular tension and strain. I further understand that this session is not a valid substitute for a medical evaluation, and that I should see a qualified physician/health practitioner for any ailment, physical or mental, that I am aware of. Because massage should not be performed under certain medical conditions, I agree to keep my massage therapist updated on any changes in my health status. I understand that any explicit or sexually suggestive remarks or intentions made before or during the massage will result in immediate termination of the massage, and that I will be held liable for full payment of the appointment, denied any further treatment, and that a police report of the incident will be filed. I understand that our practitioners will terminate the session if they have any reason to doubt their safety and retain the right to refuse service.
before your mobile appointment
For an appointment at your location, we will need a separate space of about 5 x 7 feet to be able to set up each table and move around it, and access to a bathroom. We try to avoid bringing our tables unnecessarily up any flights of stairs, so we typically work on the main levels of the homes we visit. When the weather is nice, porch massage is also an option.
Please let us know in advance of any dogs or kiddos who will be around during your appointment!
A note on alcohol: Consuming alcohol before or shortly after a massage can increase dehydration and affect blood circulation, potentially leading to dizziness or nausea. For your safety we advise avoiding alcohol during this time.
